There is a tendency to make innovations with salads, the classic lettuce, tomato and onion has been gradually supplanted by arugula and cherry tomatoes. Carrot and egg, garlic endive are also the simplest.
Summer is the ideal time to be encouraged to mix and put creativity to this light plate that admits many combinations. The most used seasonings are olive oil and balsamic vinegar, there are also other options with honey and mustard or an ultra light option, the classic lemon and salt.
Below we leave you some ideas to prepare your gourmet salads:
- Endives, green leaves, brie cheese, smoked salmon and chopped nuts. It also combines with squares of avocado.
- Rathed carrot and beet, lettuce, corn and chicken squares
- Endives, dried tomatoes previously soaked in tea to soften and remove acidity, raisins of black or blonde grapes or dried plums instead. If you like bittersweet it is a very good combination
- Brown rice (we recommend yamani) little lettuce, tuna, tomato, boiled egg and peas that can also be substituted for beans during the high season.
