How to improve digestion?

The digestion process occurs when we smell the aroma of food and the salivary glands of our mouth begin to produce saliva. The goal of the digestion process is to convert the food into small substances that serve to our body. The substances that we do not need are eliminated through the faeces.

This process occurs in the intestines that house the intestinal microbiome (set of bacteria) that are responsible for breaking down food, absorbs nutrients and finally eliminates toxins.

There are foods that can be consumed to alleviate these discomforts and recover the proper functioning of our body, such as:

Lentils, artichokes, apples and black beans: these and other foods high in fiber facilitate the movement of food ingested in the body, thus preventing problems such as constipation and hemorrhoids.

Onions: this vegetable is high in prebiotics, microorganisms that help the growths of good bacteria.

Garlic: Great probiotic, improves the diet of the intestinal flora.

Chocolate: This could be the most delicious product to consume in these cases. It helps ourselves to have 10 billion cells of bacteria that promote the health of the intestine.

It is also necessary to drink water several times a day to help carry out the mixing of substances with the greatest ease. In addition, experts advise to drink less alcoholic drinks, control stress and do more exercise.
