FacebookTwitterGoogle PlusLinkedin
The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Basque Culinary Center, an affiliate member of the UNWTO, have opened the registration lists for the  First Global Gastronomy Tourism Startup Competition

The objective of this initiative is to find solutions to the challenges and opportunities presented by the development of gastronomy tourism, providing visibility and support to a large number of startups in the tourism sector.

Nowadays, gastronomy is a decisive factor to attract tourists and gastronomy tourism is a resource that adds value and provides solutions for those destinations that seek to differentiate themselves through unique product offerings.

With this competition, we are looking for those projects committed to Sustainable Development that also introduce, or adapt, digital or technological elements.

The selected companies will have the opportunity to present their projects at the 5th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomiy Tourism, which will take place from 2 to 3 May 2019 in San Sebastián-Donostia, Spain.

The event will offer an unprecedented platform for entrepreneurship and tourism innovation in order to create synergies among different actors, exchange success stories and foster a venture capital investment culture.

If your project fits within these characteristics, you can register here.
